• an association of people for mutual aid or the pursuit of a common goal.

• Ecology a group of species that have similar requirements and play a similar role within a community.

Synchronists |ˈsi ng krəˌnists|

1. the futuristic creators of simultaneous occurrences in electronic music

that appear significantly related but have no discernible casual connection,

all operated or developed according to the same time scale ahead of its time:

the guild of synchronists comp is quite fucking staggering.

2. a word created by danny native of the altered natives to encapsulate & define
his group of selected electronic master builders, and also to sell this amazing compilation by using word play evoking images of electronic synthesizers & ancient secret societies of technofied architects:

i looked it up, Synchronists isn't even in the dictionary, heavy album though. track 4 is a banger.

Well finally we are here...

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Allow me to introduce and welcome you to The Guild of Synchronists. The first album comp for Eye4Eye Recordings this 2011, presented by myself Altered Natives.

In this compilation you will find a collection of works brought to you by some of the names which in my opinion however valued, i think you should watch over the course of dance music history. Starting at grassroots and steadily building in tempo and arc, I compiled this album to expose new talented producers who have my personally belief & backing in the quest for musical fuckery. Plus, i had an affinity to each of the tracks here, as i felt each track individually embodied everything I have tried to achieve and squash together through the medium of my own production.

The true synchronicity truly lies in the shared passion for making good music and the passion to create. This comp is an introduction to some of the names that I hope to familiarize you all with over the next few years with Eye4Eye. A few of the names you won't necessarily know, some may recognize already as some of these guys are already getting they're game up. But ultimately this is an introduction to some of the future featured artists of Eye4Eye Recordings.

First up we start grassroots level with Accidental Daydream, a sultry minimal jazzy house groove produced by Tom Ellis and featuring the dreamy vocal stylings of multi talented Lizzy B. Based in Wales, Tom has already established himself as one of the most forward thinking producers in the UK House & Techno scene. With an impressive discography to date Tom Ellis has established he is no part timer. This track opens the comp nicely to introduce our next artist with the piano loop driven A Possible Lover.
At One opened his career in 2010 with his first EP on Osunlade's critically acclaimed record label Yoruba Soul, and impressively remixed for House giants Soul Heaven amongst others.

Next up is Arena, Funksta aka Frank hunter is one half of the well respected Techno act, Black Arts. In Funksta mode, he embraces his love of all things techy and broken with this rolling percussive bruk house masterpiece which in all honesty is nothing less than expected of Funksta.

This takes us to nicely into The Hermit, I honestly was lost for words at how good this track is, from beginning to end its dark room, eyes closed, traveling vibes courtesy of El Sudor. Despite him being a Chelsea fan, I seriously am looking forward to El Sudor's first EP on Eye4Eye Recordings later this year.

Next in, we have a favourite in my DJ sets Squuaallar. At One steps up again and brings an energy reminiscent of early Armand Van Helden 96' Squealing horn stabs, stunning percussion, big and banging. This absolutely does not fail to move the dancefloor. At One is truly one to watch out for.

Taking it out of 4/4 mode we move up a gear with the funk with The Message by Ceramic. Multi producer Magic takes us into the brukky zone with this Broken Beat roller harking back to the B-Boy days of old and questioning the originality in music nowadays.

Its maybe been done before back in Africa, but none the less Ceramic takes it back to the essence as we move further uptempo to meet the 18 Ghost Hands by myself Altered Natives.

Based on the Kung Fu styles of the legendary master Pak Mei aka White Eyebrows, (you may also know him from Kill Bill 2) This particular Kung Fu style is fast striking form, the idea of converting drum patterns to actual striking hand movements is what inspired me within the percussion of this track.

Misery Peat hailing from the East Coast of Italy brings Hyde. Al Miseri did not fail to impress me with his first release here with Hyde, with all its quirky dubby stylings where somewhere in a galaxy far far away, a cyborg MJ Cole has been sent from the future to torture a beaten and drugged R2D2 with a blowtorch and pliers.

From 8 bit futuristic 2 step vibes we move onto my second track on the compilation. Goodbye is a drum driven afterlife inspired journey as i step back into drum mode. Acid licks, blistering synth chords & primal subs from the memories of the womb, accented by the haunting flute of Lizzy B. Personal as always.

Up next is the constantly shouted question "waaaaaaash diiiiiiish!?!?" in my DJ sets. Responsible is Grayz the official Eye4Eye Ninja. Dub Skank has merged all the elements of UK bass music in this rolling dub weight banger.

My faith is set in Grayz to be a worthy adversary in the UK bass music scene. Still cutting his production teeth, Grayz is steadily building his sound in amazing major leaps and bounds. So in the words of the Wutang "you best, protect your neck!"

DD Black from Japan representing Eye4Eye in the East with his first offering, the ultra wild energy packed Charge. Holding down regular residencies, a radio show and his constant production, DD Black is not playing. Charge never fails to work in my sets, Charge is pure dance floor madness with a Beltram'esque energy.

We end here with the goose bump inducing behemoth, The Heebie Jeebies from the infamous Dubstep pioneers Slaughter Mob. Moving the final piece on the chessboard Slaughter Mob bring the closing move to play with this adrenalin raiser. Like the Cloverfield monster on a space hopper smashing through your city, knocking off the national power grid, leaving you alone, senses alert in the darkness in fear of being squashed. To only realize the next day after closer examination that it wasn't bouncing on a space hopper, it was his monster testicles that squashed your car.

Blame Slaughter Mob for your ASBO.

So there you have it.

The Guild of Synchronists.

My personal introduction to some of the future faces to appear at Eye4Eye .

Thank you
